Hi, my name is Loki. I am a 2 year old Golden Lab with deep brown eyes. I have been with my forever family for 5 months now. My family has 4 hoomans in it. There is my mommy, daddy, Molly and Donnie. They have never been trained before and this is causing me a bit of frustration. Mommy is the easiest to train so far. I have trained her to walk me every 4 hours. If she forgets, I go to her and stare at her until she says "ok, ok, let's go for a walk". We live near a beautiful forest with a river. I take mommy on a path that winds near the river. There are so many things to hunt here. There are a family of deer, geese and ducks as well as I've had a run in with a skunk or two. There are many other hoomans who use this path. A lot of them run by and when I chase them and try to talk to them, they get mad at mommy and say angry things at her. I don't understand what they are saying but at the end of the end of the commotion, mommy puts my beautiful red leash on me all the while mumbling something about me getting exercise. She usually lets me off my leash deep in the forest so that I can hunt for my food. This is proving very frustrating because before I can catch anything, she calls my name and if I don't come right away she gets a bit hysterical. Typical mommy from what I've heard. More training is needed for all of them which I'm sure will be interesting and frustrating for all of us. I am sleepy after this morning's walk so this will be the end of my first entry. I am posting an adorable picture of myself and something my hoomans gave me called a "monkey". Ttfn!
